June Newsletter

After our very successful Autumn Wedding Expo held in April at Trents, we are planning a Spring Wedding Expo to be held in September. All those who have booked weddings at Trents are invited to come along for free and try some of our delicious canapes, enjoy a glass of bubbly and talk to some of the 20 or so wedding industry service providers who will be present displaying their wares so you can finalise your wedding arrangements. There will be small door charge for those not yet booked.

Weddings are very much a seasonal summer occasion, and consequently wintertime at Trents is an opportunity for us to attend to garden and vineyard maintenance, ensure our systems and licenses are all up to date, and for staff to enjoy a break from our busy summers. However, we are happy to open for viewings, mid-winter celebrations, corporate functions etc. Please don’t hesitate to contact Eloise (021 1123591) if potentially interested in a viewing or a function.

Eloise is looking forward to her second summer wedding season as Trents Operations Manager. She worked as a Bar Manager for Trents while completing her B. Com at Canterbury Uni, before taking over as the full time Operations Manager. Her experience and dedication to ensuring that every minor detail is promptly attended both in the lead up to your wedding and on day itself, gives assurance that your special day will run smoothly and hassle free.

Due to open in September 2020, the southern motorway extension will reduce travel times to Trents from central Christchurch, making it easier and quicker for your guests to travel to and from our lovely venue. We have been pleasantly surprised by the minimal environmental impact of the road in the land to the north of our property. The road is 2 to 3 meters below ground level and is some 200 meters away behind large trees and hedging, which means the traffic will be barely audible or visible at the Venue.
