Our guests find that the beautiful grounds create a memorable backdrop for conferences, parties and corporate events.
The venue hire is $2,000, which gives exclusive Venue use for either the lunch sitting or the dinner sitting. The venue will be available for the afternoon sitting from 10:30am to 3:30pm, and for the evening sitting from 6pm to 11:30pm. Full payment of the venue hire is required within 2 weeks of making a pencil booking in order to confirm the reservation. Payment of the deposit forms a contract with terms as described in this document.
The venue hire gives exclusive use of the premises. Included are: damask tablecloths & napkins, cutlery, crockery, glassware. All prices are GST and service charges inclusive.
No good function is complete without a delicious meal. At Trent’s we pride ourselves in a high standard of quality cuisine and attentive service. We offer the choice of either Table Service, or a gourmet BBQ buffet. Trent’s has an experienced, creative and flexible kitchen team who are happy to receive your menu suggestions. We can cater to most dietary requirements.
To quench your thirst Trent’s offer both BYO (wine only) and beverage packages, complemented by full bar service. Our house wines are the North Canterbury based Pegasus Bay Winery “Main Divide” selection, being a well-established and respected range of quality wines both locally grown and produced.

We have quality sound systems, cordless microphones, and dance speakers with disco lighting in the dance area for use with iPods etc. Bands and DJs are welcome, but in order to comply with our resource consent, they are required to finish playing by 11:30pm. We recommend bands/DJs announce the last dance so guests are prepared for the evening to end. Final guest departure is by 12:00 am. Trent’s staff can assist with taxi arrangements, and guests are welcome to leave vehicles in the car park overnight.
Final numbers are to be advised one week prior to the event. The meals charged for will be the greater of the number attending or the final advised numbers. A detailed account will be issued the morning after the function for payment within 7 days. All payment methods are accepted, but there is a 3% credit card surcharge. Trent’s has no minimum number requirement; however a minimum charge of $2,500 (excluding the venue hire) on food and beverage applies.
