TRENTS VINEYARD WEDDING GUIDE (October 2012)

Trent’s Vineyard Function Centre is set in a 135 years old brick building sensitively restored and strengthened to create a quality venue set amidst grapevines, paddocks and mature trees, private yet close to the city. The whitewashed Mediterranean style building and expansive sheltered lawn with fountain, conservatory, gazebo, dovecote and pond form an idyllic setting lending itself perfectly to weddings. We are a complete wedding venue, enabling you to have the ceremony, photographs, reception and dancing without leaving the property. Trents are fully catered and licensed, with BYO wine options. In 2002, Trent’s became a wedding and function venue, after many years of successful A la Carte dining, allowing wedding parties exclusive all day use of the venue.

Ceremony

Our sheltered lawn with a Victorian Gazebo under the Sycamores is a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony, or if raining, in the conservatory area with rollup sides.

Seating

The wooden floored dining area and adjoining tiled conservatory area, which together form an integrated area, can seat 130. There is seating for an extra 25 on the mezzanine floor, which is used as a quieter space where guests can relax.

FOOD

We pride ourselves in consistently high standards of attentive service and quality cuisine. We have an experienced, creative flexible kitchen team who are happy to receive your menu suggestions and are able to cater for food intolerances or allergies.

WINE

Most of the vineyard was pulled out in 2002, after six vintages, with 1 acre retained as a photo backdrop for weddings. Trents offer both BYO (sparkling and still wines only) and beverage packages, complemented by full bar service.

MUSIC

Music is to finish at 11.30pm, with final guest departure by 12:00 am.  Guests are welcome to leave vehicles in the car park overnight. We have quality sound systems; inside and outside speakers for ceremony and background music, cordless microphones, and dance speakers with disco lighting in the dance area for use with Ipods etc. Bands and DJs are welcome, but in order to comply with our resource consent, they may be required to limit noise levels if the bass and/or drums are excessively loud.

SUPPORT

We will endeavour to make your wedding a wonderful experience ensuring fabulous memories with little stress, as evidenced by the numerous “Thank you” cards received.   We are always available to discuss any queries.  Once you have your RSVP’s back, we will meet with you to help define menus, ceremony and seating layouts, and placement of decorations & place names etc.  On your wedding day, we will ensure the smallest details are promptly attended to.

VENUE HIRE

$2000.00 which is payable within two weeks of confirming a pencilled reservation. This payment holds the booking and is non-refundable, except if we can rebook the day, in which case a $250 administration charge will be deducted.

Payment

Final numbers are to be advised one week prior to the event. The meals charged for will be the greater of the number attending or the final advised numbers. A detailed account will be available the morning after the wedding. Bank transfer, cheque or cards are accepted, however there is a 3% credit card surcharge.  Trent’s have no minimum numbers, however a minimum charge of $6000 (including the venue hire) applies. The average spend per head including food (canapés, mains & desserts), drinks (with BYO option) and venue hire is approximately $115. 

INCLUSIONS

The Venue Hire includes exclusive use of the premises, damask tablecloths & napkins, cutlery, crockery, glassware, placement of decorations & place names etc, silver cake knife, tulle & ivy on the balustrade and French doors.  For the ceremony: camellia topiary, white chairs, red carpet and decorated registry table. All menus include Tea & Coffee, cutting and plating your wedding cake (if not required for dessert), placing and repacking your table decorations and boxing the left over BYO wine for pick-up the following morning.  GST and all staff charges are included.
