JOHN AND SUE
John and Sue Shanks have been the sole owners and managers of Trents since it opened in 1997. Prior to starting Trents they came from structural engineering and nursing backgrounds and travelled extensively. They have 3 children, all living overseas. They are present at each function and know every aspect of the business. When they don’t have a wedding or function on, John runs the 50 acre farm and Sue attends to her horses, garden or wedding and function enquiries. The property has been in the Shanks family for the past 40 years.

ABOUT US
Due to increasing demands for wedding receptions, after 8 years of also operating as an `A la Carte restaurant, Trent's became a function venue in 2005 in order to allow the whole day to be devoted to one wedding or function, ensuring that everything is dealt with in a timely and stress free manner.
Owners, Sue & John Shanks are present at all Weddings and other functions to ensure the smallest details are promptly attended to. Sue is the focal point for making all Wedding arrangements. She has a friendly, relaxed approach, ensuring discussions and organisation matters leading up to the event are smooth and complete.
